Detailed itinerary of 12 Days Uganda Safari, Bwindi, Murchison Falls & Kibale
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
After breakfast at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will be picked up by your guide – our representative and drive to Murchison Falls National Park through Luwero Town. Have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking experience on which you will see black and white rhinos on foot.
Have another stopover in Masindi for lunch and proceed to the park, head for a hike to the top of the falls which will give you magnificent views of the waterfalls and gaze at River Nile – the longest river in the world as it forces through a small gap which is just 7 meters wide and flows 43 meters down with a thunderous roar.
With en-route game drive, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge and to the park for a morning game drive to search for the wildlife species, you will get a chance to spot many wildlife species including giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes and several bird species.
Head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will have a boat cruise on the Nile River, this experience allows you to get close to the several water animals including over 4000 hippos and the Nile Crocodiles. You will also spot various water species including colored king fishers, shoebill stork, grey throated and yellow billed birds among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have early breakfast and transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park via the Lake Albert Escarpments with scenic views of the lake.
Have a stopover in Hoima for lunch and proceed to the park with a drive passed Lake Nkusi joining along Lake Kyoga. When you arrive in Fort Portal, you will enjoy scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains filled with tea plantations on their slopes.
Continue to Kibale National Park arriving in the early evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest& Bigodi wetland visit
Wake up early and head to Kanyanchu by 08:00 am for briefing about chimpanzee trekking and the proper way to behave while in the presence of the chimpanzees, these primates are considered to be closest relatives of human being since they share 98% of their DNA with that of humans.
After the briefing, you will head into the forests in search for the chimpanzees, along the way you will spot other primates such as LHoests Monkeys, black and White colobus monkeys, red tailed Monkey, grey cheeked Mangabey, pottos, bush babies and many bird species such as little green bul, yellow spotted nictor, rumped tinker bird, crowed eagle, green breasted pitta and black bee spotted eater among others.
When you encounter the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour in their presence and get a chance to observe them as they play, feed, socialize with each other and jump around the trees.
After the trek, you will head back to the park’s headquarters, meet your guide and head to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head to Bigodi Wetland for views of primates like blue monkeys, baboons, bush pigs and many birds like the great blue turaco and the green breasted pitta among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is just 3 hours drive away, the park is famous for hosting a variety of wildlife species, primate species and birds.
When you arrive in the park you will have en-route game drive as you head to you lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a game drive exploring the savannah plains and enjoying sights of animals including impalas, kobs, forest hogs, elephants, buffaloes, tree climbing lions among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – 7: Game drive & afternoon boat cruise
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive on which you see various animals like elephants, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, lions among others. Later return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will see various animals such as crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, buffaloes and various water species such as storks, kingfishers among others.
After a full day of adventure, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will see tree – climbing lions resting on tree branches and other animals such as elephants, leopards, buffaloes among others.
Then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on a drive of 3 hours, along the way you will have lunch and when you arrive in the park. You will go for a guided nature walk in the forests of Bwindi. In the evening, you will check-in at the lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking –Bwindi impenetrable national park
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters to meet the mountain gorillas, you will join other trekkers at the park’s headquarters for briefing about rules and regulations to follow on the experience.
In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head to the starting point and head into the forests of Bwindi looking for that specific gorilla family. The trek takes about 2 to 7 hours depending on the movement of that specific mountain gorilla family and its feeding range, when you encounter the gorillas. You will spend 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas watching them go on with their life in the forests of Bwindi, you are allowed to take pictures of the gorillas.
Trek back to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates and head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a drive to Lake Mburo National Park – the smallest savannah national park in Uganda covering an area of 371 square kilometers.
Along the way you will have lunch in Mbarara and when you arrive in the park, you will go for a guided nature walk through the park. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 11: Game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will head to the park for a morning game drive through the park searching for wildlife such as impalas, kobs, antelopes and many bird species.
Head to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will return to the park for a boat cruise along Lake Mburo. You will enjoy sights of a lot of animals like crocodiles and hippos among others.

After an early breakfast, you will have a game drive as you drive back to Kampala. Have en-route lunch with a stopover around the equator to have a water experiment and take enough photos.
