A Guide through the Journey

On arrival in Entebbe, you'll be warmly welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala for check-in. On the way, you'll get a first impression of everyday life in Uganda.

Once settled in, we're happy to show you around Kampala to give you a feel for the country, its people, culture, and the city’s wide variety of cuisines.

After breakfast, drive east towards Sipi Falls, with en-route stops in Jinja to see the Source of the Nile. For adventure seekers, you may opt for bungee jumping or white-water rafting on the Nile — a thrilling way to start your journey.

Continue through Mbale for lunch or coffee, then drive on through lush landscapes of rolling hills and coffee plantations before arriving in Sipi in the late afternoon. Relax with stunning views of the three waterfalls.

Today you’ll explore the iconic Sipi Falls, located on the slopes of Mount Elgon (4,321 m), an inactive volcano and one of Africa’s oldest volcanic mountains. Mount Elgon is believed to have first erupted more than 24 million years ago, and its vast caldera is among the largest in the world.

On a guided hike, you’ll walk through local communities, farms, and scenic trails leading to all three waterfalls, each offering breathtaking views. In the afternoon, enjoy a coffee tour, learning about Uganda’s famous Arabica coffee from bean to cup.

After an early breakfast, set off on a scenic drive north to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Africa’s most remote and untouched wilderness areas. Along the way, enjoy views of the Karamoja plains and mountains before arriving in time to relax at your lodge.

Spend the day on game drives through Kidepo’s sweeping savannahs. Look out for elephants, lions, zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, and large herds of buffalo. The Narus Valley is particularly rewarding for wildlife sightings.

Another full day exploring Kidepo Valley National Park. Today, there are two choices.

Join morning game drives to increase the chances of spotting predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes grazing across the open savannah, with the afternoon dedicated to a visit to a nearby Karimojong community to experience their unique culture, cattle traditions, and colorful dances.

Alternatively, set out on a hike up Mount Morungole (2,740 m) to meet the Ik people, take in sweeping views over the Rift Valley and the lands of the Turkana warriors, and continue to the Kanangorok Hot Springs near the South Sudan border — a scenic natural wonder with deep cultural significance.

After breakfast, drive southwest towards Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes you through vast savannah landscapes and local villages.

Arrive in the park in the evening and settle into your lodge near the Nile.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive to search for wildlife including giraffes, elephants, lions, cape buffaloes, and various bird species.

Return to your lodge for lunch, then head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. This experience brings you close to aquatic wildlife such as hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as water birds like the malachite kingfisher, saddle-billed stork, and colorful bee-eaters.

After an early breakfast, transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park via the scenic Lake Albert Escarpment.

Stop for lunch in Hoima and continue to Fort Portal town. Enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountains and tea plantations.

Reach your lodge in the early evening for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre by 8:00 AM for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. These primates share 98 Percent of their DNA with humans, making this encounter particularly fascinating. During the trek, you may also see L’Hoest’s monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabeys, pottos, bush babies, and birds like the green-breasted pitta, crowned eagle, and black bee-eater.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for more primate and bird sightings, including blue monkeys, baboons, bush pigs, and the great blue turaco.

After breakfast, drive approximately 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an en-route game drive on your way to the lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, go on a game drive across the savannah plains where you may spot elephants, Uganda kobs, forest hogs, buffaloes, and possibly tree-climbing lions.

Start with an early morning game drive to observe more wildlife such as elephants, lions, antelopes, and buffaloes.

After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. You'll spot crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, and numerous bird species including storks and kingfishers. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, head south to the Ishasha Sector for a chance to see tree-climbing lions. Along the way, you might also encounter elephants, buffaloes, and leopards.

Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping for lunch en route.

Upon arrival, take a guided nature walk through the forest before settling in for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla tracking briefing. In groups of eight, you'll be assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek, which may take 2 to 6 hours.

Once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Afterward, return to headquarters for your tracking certificate, then visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake, dotted with 29 small islands. In the afternoon, relax at your lodge or take an optional canoe ride on the calm waters.

Spend the day at leisure. Activities include canoeing between islands, hiking in the surrounding hills, bird watching, or visiting local communities. Lake Bunyonyi is also perfect for swimming since it is free of bilharzia and crocodiles.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park (371 km²).

Stop in Mbarara for lunch, then proceed to the park for a guided nature walk. Later, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Begin the day with a morning game drive through the park, searching for impalas, zebras, antelopes, and a wide range of birdlife.

After lunch at the lodge, set out on a unique afternoon adventure — either a horseback safari that allows you to approach wildlife quietly and closely, or a cycling safari along scenic trails. Both experiences provide a refreshing and eco-friendly way to explore Lake Mburo’s landscapes and wildlife.

After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a final game drive as you leave the park — a fitting conclusion to an exciting safari filled with wildlife encounters, cultural insights, and unforgettable personal memories.

Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator for photos and a fun water experiment that demonstrates the Coriolis effect — showing how water drains in opposite directions in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres due to Earth's rotation.

From there, we will either take you to the airport for your departure or to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for check-in and a relaxed end to your journey. We’ll gladly arrange your airport transfer on your departure day.
