Bwindi Impenetrable National Park spans 321 square kilometres (124 square miles) and is characterised by its dense, ancient forest, steep ridges, and deep valleys. The park’s thick vegetation and rugged terrain have earned it the name “Impenetrable,” providing a sanctuary for a diverse array of flora and fauna. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has an elevation range of 1,160 meters (3,800ft) to 2,607 meters (8,550ft) above sea level. The elevation contributes to the park`s rich biodiversity and distinct ecological zones.
