Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Fees July 2024 To June 2026
Located in the Southwest of Uganda on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offers some of the most memorable wildlife experiences in Uganda. Bwindi is among the only four destinations in the world where it is possible to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat; mountain gorillas are rare subspecies that are amongst our closest living relatives and having a face-to-face encounter with them is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site designated in 1994, the park is home to over 345 bird species, 221 butterfly species and 120 mammals, over 160 tree species, 105 ferns and numerous flowering plants.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to 19 gorilla families open for gorillas trekking with 152 visitors allowed to visit the gorillas per day, the park has four tracking trailheads that is Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo where gorilla trekking is done.
Like other national parks in Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is under the administration of Uganda Wildlife Authority which is responsible for the activities that take place in the park.
