This 3 Day Queen Elizabeth National Safari is a short and affordable Uganda taking you on a safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular wildlife destination in Uganda. This beautiful park is most known for its spectacular landscapes of rolling savannah plains, lush rainforests, a series of sparkling crater lakes, freshwater lakes and a lovely a backdrop of snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains.
Queen Elizabeth National Park at a size of about 1978 square kilometers is home to over 600 bird species and 95 species of mammals including the rare tree climbing lions and four of the Big Five. On this 3 Day Queen Elizabeth Park Safari you will have game drives on which you will spot several animals including elephants, lions, leopards and various species of antelopes.
Also, you will do a leisurely boat trip at Kazinga Channel – a stream of water connecting Lake Edward to George, the channel attracts several species of wildlife and hosts some of the densest concertation of crocodiles and waterbirds in Africa.

Detailed Safari Itinerary of 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Park Safari
Day 1: Drive from Entebbe To Queen Elizabeth National Park, Evening Game Drive
Start your safari with pick up from Kampala or Entebbe at 7 am and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda, the drive is about 7 hours and along the way you will have lunch in Fort Portal.
When you arrive in the park, you will go for a game drive to explore the impressive landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoying sights of animals like lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, antelopes among others.
Queen Elizabeth National Park was founded in 1952 and named Kazinga National Park, later it was renamed Queen Elizabeth National Park in 1954 to commemorate a visit by Queen Elizabeth II. The park covers a large area of 1,978 square kilometers extending from Lake George in the northeast to Lake Edward in the southwest with the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. The park hosts an incredible diversity with 95 mammal species, over 600 bird species and much more.
After your first game drive, you will return to your lodge to relax, socialize and have dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game Drives In Kasenyi Plains & Afternoon Boat Cruise On Kazinga Channel.
You will begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, meet your guide and drive to the park for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains which offer you an opportunity to see some of the impressive African big game species such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, hippos, grant forest hog, warthogs, crocodiles, jackals and various smaller creatures.
This section of the park is one of the prettiest section in the park especially in the golden light of the morning, you will also see some special bird species such as African Hobby, Ruppell’s Vulture, Bateleur, Brown Snake Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Grey Kestrel, African Skimmer, Great Blue Turaco, Great White Pelican, Palm-nut Vulture, Papyrus Gonolek and Pel’s Fishing Owl among others.
After the game drive you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, in the afternoon you go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. You will transfer to the Mweya Jetty for a 2 hours afternoon boat cruise starting at 2 pm, you will chance to cruise along the calm waters, see hundreds of hippos and African Buffaloes and elephants lingering on the shoreline along with waterbirds and crocodiles.
After the boat cruise, you will do a short game drive along the channel track as we head back to the lodge. You will relax and enjoy dinner as well as a good night’s rest.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive And Drive Back To Kampala
Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and go for en-route game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park on your way back to Kampala. You will enjoy en-route lunch and on arrival, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
